Hello! I'm Julie, an English teacher and mother to three wonderful boys, who always keep me on my toes! We live in Moore, OK, where dodging tornadoes also keeps us on our toes! A little about me: I grew up a Navy brat, and got my AA from the Univ. of Maryland campus in Mannheim, Germany. I then moved back to Oklahoma in 2003 to finish my BA in English and teaching certificate. After a couple years of teaching in public schools, I became a stay-at-home mom when my second son was born, for about 1 1/2 years. I then worked as an online English teacher for Advanced Academics/Connections Education for almost 7 years, and then started at a public charter school in Oklahoma City in 2017, first as a middle school classroom teacher, and now as English Department Head for the district. It has been an adventure! I have always loved baking and decorating, but got more serious about it around 2010. Now, I take every chance I can get (friends' & relatives' birthdays, weddings, holidays, etc.) to make a cake! I also make cupcakes, cake pops, and decorated sugar cookies, all custom-made to order.
